With a degree in Early Childhood Education and training in Special Education, Ms. Cooper is passionate about supporting children with diverse learning, developmental, and behavioral needs. Her experience in education and caregiving has equipped her to create nurturing environments where children can grow, thrive, and build independence.

A meaningful milestone for Grand Bahama. 🦻🩷 Today, Flamingo Lingo—Grand Bahama’s first private Speech & Language practice—was honored to help bring community hearing screenings back to the island, one child at a time.

A heartfelt thank you to the City of Freeport Council for sponsoring this initiative and to the YMCA for welcoming us and partnering with us to support the children in their Summer Camp. A special thank you to our Flamingo Lingo flock on a job well done. 💪

Chief Superintendent of Police Calvin Robinson, Officer in Charge of the Southwestern Division, Grand Bahama, along with Assistant Superintendent Nicole Gilbert, visited the Flaminolingo Speech and Language Therapy Facility in downtown Freeport.

The officers met with proprietor Hanna Gilbert and donation recipient Kingsley Hield, and donated an iPad, a BMOUO kids case, a portable AAC communication device for autism, and an OISAKLD color foam kit to assist 7-year-old Kianna Hield, who is autistic and lives with cerebral palsy. The devices will help her communicate using eye and leg movement.

2025 Wrapped. 👏 What a year it’s been.

A year of hard work, patience, consistency, new ideas, giving, receiving, and powerful collaboration. From expanding into new spaces, to educating our community, to sharing meaningful moments with families, schools, and organizations across Grand Bahama — every step mattered.

We celebrated milestones, honored loved ones we’ve lost, and held space for both joy and healing. We shared knowledge, hugs, laughter, and care — always leading with heart.

Most of all, we embraced community.
And as we step into 2026, we do so with gratitude, purpose, and excitement for all that’s ahead.
