We may yearn for peace, unity, and connection, yet so often feel compelled to take sides in an argument. In politics we are goaded into feeling visceral anger toward specific figures. In spiritual communities we split the world into binaries of good v evil, light v dark, abundance v scarcity. By clinging to a specific identity, we turn the opposing side into a threat, or something to be feared or resented, or an enemy to be vilified. Perhaps this is a necessary fire that the ego needs to burn through, until we are able to understand that the roles of hero and villain are created largely by our own perceptions.

Achieving true alignment and peace means stepping off the battlefield of judgment. It requires sitting in stillness and questioning our narratives. It doesn’t mean that we stop having discernment, or agree with things we find morally wrong. It means, instead, that we stop letting those forces take our inner peace hostage.

One way of interrogating our perception is to meditate (or simply breathe … deeply and slowly), connect with intuition, and play devil’s advocate. Ask questions, such as: “How might this person or situation be a catalyst for evolution? In what ways could this be waking me (and/or other people) up, or teaching me something? By exploring the counter-arguments, we stop giving our power away to fear, anger or judgement. True alignment comes not from believing an "enemy" or situation must be feared or defeated, but from the inner capacity to hold space for the whole picture—shadow and all.

Great advice for on how to connect with a grieving person:
- Feeling grief is necessary for healing.
- If you tell a grieving person things like ‘everything happens for a reason', or 'at least she lived a long life', etc, it tells them not to feel and not to make anyone else uncomfortable with their feeling.
- Much better to say something like, ‘I know nothing makes sense or feels good right now, and everything seems meaningless. I'm here for you, and I want to hear about it.’ Statements like this validate the other person's right to feel and help create connection.

This world will convince you that you need fixing. This idea, this program, keeps you in a disempowered state. This disempowered state convinces you that you need to create the “right” or “good” version of you. Meanwhile you are denying what is merely your human experience.

There has never been anything wrong with you that needs fixing. You have merely been experiencing a human journey and you are remembering how it all works.

That maybe, just maybe, all the programming to fix this, change this, alter this, be this, heal this, was a way to disconnect you from you. Maybe it was a way to disconnect you from the deepest love you will ever know, love for you.

Love for all of you regardless of your actions, behaviors, beliefs, thoughts, or emotional states.

Your entire human journey has been an energetic experience expressed physically. You have been experiencing energy in form.

You’ve also been convinced that you are the energetic experience ( i.e the thoughts, beliefs, emotions, behaviors, additions, disorders, etc.)

However, the moment you remember you have never been any of it. It has all just been you experiencing energy is the moment you break free.

You are currently taking off a blind fold that has created the illusion that you are your experiences, and you are remembering who you actually are, consciousness in form experiencing a human journey.

When this occurs you will embrace all of you. You will release with love and compassion what no longer serves you and you will choose to engage and experience what does serve you.

So, keep remembering!

And don’t let anything/anyone outside of you, ever convince you that you need to change, fix or become anything other than who you are because who you are is enough.

Your entire human experience is you coming back home to you, remembering that you have never been any of it.

Embrace it all.
