As Pediatricians, we want to be clear: ⭐️⭐️corporal punishment has no place in raising healthy children.⭐️⭐️Hitting, spanking, or physically punishing a child does not teach better behavior—it teaches fear, shame, and aggression.

Research consistently shows that corporal punishment is linked to:
• Increased anxiety and depression
• Poor parent–child relationships
• Higher risk of aggressive behavior
• No long-term improvement in discipline

Children learn best through **guidance, consistency, and connection—not pain.** Positive discipline—like setting clear limits, modeling behavior, and using age-appropriate consequences—helps children develop self-control, empathy, and respect.

We all want our children to thrive. Let’s choose approaches that **protect their emotional well-being and build trust that lasts a lifetime
