Sometimes feeling “behind” doesn’t look dramatic. It can look like struggling to enjoy your own progress, constantly feeling pressure to do more, or quietly believing you should already have things figured out by now.

This is a big part of what I’ll be exploring in You’re Not Behind on May 30. It’s a virtual workshop focused on understanding the emotional weight behind feeling “behind,” and developing a healthier, more grounded relationship with your pace, your progress, and yourself. See you there.

Not everything meaningful happens on a timeline you can predict or control, and not everything is meant to happen all at once.

Some things take time to develop, to shift, to come into place.

When you stop expecting your life to follow a fixed schedule, you create space to actually experience it as it is.

Something I hear often in my work as a therapist is people feeling like they should be further along by now - even when things are objectively okay.

It’s not always obvious where that feeling comes from, but it tends to build over time through pressure, comparison, and expectations that were never really questioned.

To address this, I’m hosting a virtual workshop on May 30 called You’re Not Behind.

This session is a space to slow down and look at that more clearly. We’ll explore where that sense of being “behind” is coming from, how it’s shaping how you see yourself, and how to move forward with more clarity and intention.

Sometimes the hardest pressure to recognize is the kind that slowly becomes part of how you think. It's the constant feeling that you should be further ahead, doing more, moving faster. After a while, it stops feeling like pressure, and starts feeling like truth.

You're Not Behind.

Sometimes the feeling of being “behind” has less to do with where your life actually is, and more to do with the pressure you’ve been carrying without fully realizing this.

Let’s discuss this further on May 30.

Did you know: The Bahamas' Mental Health Act from the 1960s was revamped and repealed in 2022 to better uphold the rights of individuals who struggle with mental health concerns, including mental illness. There absolutely are initiatives happening in the mental health space in The Bahamas, and many of them are upholding these revisions and are putting the Mental Health act IN ACTION.

Come out and hear what our country's mental health stakeholders and trailblazers have been up to over the past few years! It is essential to RSVP at the registration link below.
