This past Saturday, the First-Aid Counselling team had the opportunity to engage directly with members of the public at Rail Park Mall in Gaborone.
While the objective was to raise awareness about our services, the experience also gave us valuable insight into the needs of the communities we serve.
One theme emerged consistently throughout the day: parents.
Many parents approached us looking for ways to better support their children. Some were seeking practical tools and resources they could use at home, while others were interested in counselling services that their children could access directly.
These conversations reminded us that mental health support is not only sought by individuals. It is often sought by families who are trying their best to support the people they love.
As we continue to grow, we remain committed to developing solutions that are accessible, relevant, and responsive to the needs of our communities.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stall, asked questions, shared their experiences, and took the time to learn more about mental wellbeing.
Every conversation helps us build better solutions.
