A brilliant Friday with the BVI family! The BVI Social Club brought the heat once again with the 5-Aside Departmental Football Challenge, laughter, teamwork, and great football on full display on Friday 04 September 2026.

Huge shoutout to Team QC+R&D for a dominant 11-1 win over Team Engineering. What a game! 👏😅🔥

And big respect to Team Engineering and all the departments who showed up with energy and sportsmanship. This is what we are all about, working together, playing together, and looking out for each other’s wellness while we deliver on our mandate.

Friday | Legacy in Motion

Today’s BVI Friday was hosted under the inspiring theme of Legacy.

The session celebrated the power of excellence, teamwork and purposeful ex*****on for an institution whose impact continues to serve Botswana, the SADC region and beyond.

Our energetic MC, Amogelang Mokhawa, carried the session with great presence. Our Acting Chief Executive Officer, Dr Keabetswe Moagabo, appreciated the team for their continued commitment.

The session also featured Q1 operations and commercial updates from Ms Morati Pusumane, Chief Operations Officer, and Ms Keenese Katisenge-Tizhani, Acting Chief Commercial Officer.

Our Research Scientist, Dr Kesego Tapela, brought the session to a thoughtful close , leaving the team inspired to continue building and passing on a legacy of excellence.

At BVI, legacy is not only what we leave behind, it is what we build, protect and pass on with excellence.

In this video, Dr. Mmolotsi Dikolobe, our Chief Veterinary Officer and Acting Head of R&D, explains how at BVI we go above and beyond as a trusted technical partner for better animal health outcomes.

Quality is at our core and will never be compromised. But protecting herds takes more than a quality product.
It requires a clear understanding of disease, the right vaccination strategy, and correct product use.

That is why we work closely with veterinary professionals and other stakeholders, supporting their disease control programmes and addressing the challenges they face in the field.

This was an opportunity for BVI to showcase the role of science, vaccines and animal health, while inspiring young minds to explore science and see themselves as the innovators of today and tomorrow.

The future of science starts with curiosity and every question is a step towards discovery.
