Thursday was another challenging surgical day.
After two and a half hours of meticulous and demanding surgery, we successfully removed 105 fibroids and reconstructed the uterus.
This is one of the highest numbers of fibroids I have removed in recent years. But beyond the number itself, what matters most is what we were able to preserve — the uterus and the hope of future fertility.
No matter how difficult the surgery may be, helping our patients preserve their reproductive potential remains one of our greatest goals. ❤️
Another difficult journey, another uterus preserved, and another hope for the future. 🙏

Yesterday was a very special day. I had the privilege of performing elective Caesarean sections for two mothers who had both previously undergone myomectomy (fibroid removal surgery). They both conceived successfully, carried their pregnancies to full term, and delivered two healthy babies on the same day.
Congratulations to these wonderful families! ❤️👶
Myomectomy can help restore the normal shape of the uterus, reduce the effects of fibroids on fertility, and improve the chances of a healthy pregnancy. However, after surgery, it is generally recommended to avoid pregnancy for 6–12 months, depending on the extent of the procedure, to allow the uterus to heal properly.

Another Successful Single-Port Laparoscopic Surgery!
Yesterday, we successfully performed another single-port laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy for a patient with a 10 cm ovarian cyst.
The entire procedure was completed in just 30 minutes, using only one small incision hidden within the belly button. The patient recovered well after surgery and is doing excellent.
Compared with conventional multi-port laparoscopy, single-port laparoscopic surgery offers several potential advantages:
Virtually scarless surgery with a hidden umbilical incision
Less postoperative pain
Faster recovery
Earlier return to daily activities
Excellent cosmetic results
Not every patient is suitable for single-port surgery, but for carefully selected cases and in experienced hands, it is a safe and effective minimally invasive option.

A Wonderful Success Story ❤️👶
Recently, I delivered a healthy full-term baby by Caesarean section for a mother with a history of multiple pregnancy losses due to severe cervical insufficiency.
After several failed cervical cerclages, a traditional approach was no longer possible. We therefore performed a Transabdominal Cervical Cerclage (TAC), placing the stitch higher on the cervix for stronger support.
She successfully carried her pregnancy to term and is recovering well after delivery.
For selected women with severe cervical insufficiency, TAC can be a highly effective option. Over the past five years, I have performed several of these procedures, helping many families achieve their dream of welcoming a healthy baby.
Never lose hope—sometimes a different approach makes all the difference. ❤️

A thick abdominal wall does not always mean a large abdominal incision.
For selected patients, a vaginal hysterectomy can safely avoid an abdominal wound, reduce complications, and promote a faster recovery.
My patient is recovering beautifully. Another reminder that the best surgery is the one tailored to the individual patient.

There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a patient regain her health and confidence.
Today, one of my patients returned for her follow-up visit, just four weeks after surgery. The smile on her face said it all.
During her operation, I removed 50 uterine fibroids. Before surgery, her abdomen was so enlarged that many people assumed she was pregnant. She also suffered from heavy menstrual bleeding and severe period pain, which affected her daily life.
Just four weeks later, her recovery has been remarkable. Her abdomen is back to normal, her menstrual pain has significantly improved, and her bleeding is much lighter. Most importantly, she feels like herself again.
Uterine fibroids are one of the most common conditions affecting women. While many fibroids do not require treatment, large or multiple fibroids can cause significant symptoms and should not be ignored. Early evaluation and appropriate treatment can make a life-changing difference.
Stories like this remind me why I chose this profession. Thank you to my patient for allowing me to be part of her journey, and thank God for another successful recovery.

Today, I am truly delighted to share another wonderful piece of news — this is the second successful pregnancy this year following tubal reversal surgery. The patient is now 10 weeks pregnant.
The moment we heard the baby’s heartbeat, the mother was overwhelmed with joy and moved to tears. Moments like this remind us why we do what we do.

More than a gift, it is a touching expression of trust, kindness, and gratitude.
As doctors, we work long hours and face many challenges, but moments like this remind us why we chose this profession. Seeing a patient recover safely and happily is always the greatest reward.

A history of multiple abdominal surgeries, a giant uterine fibroid, a four-hour operation, and two days in the ICU — today, the patient has finally recovered and been discharged home safely.
