The halls will speak your name forever,
The lives you touched will fade away never.
And though our hearts are filled with tears,
Your vision will live through the years.

Today, I pay tribute to a remarkable man, my director Mr. Tshemedi — a leader whose legacy will forever remain alive in the hearts of those who had the privilege of working alongside him at Adelaide School.

Mr. Tshemedi was more than just an employer; he was a man of rare humility, unquestionable integrity, fairness, and deep respect for every member of staff. In a world where leadership is often measured by authority, he chose instead to lead with kindness, understanding, and humanity. He treated every worker with dignity, making each one of us feel valued, appreciated, and seen.

What stood out most about him was his welcoming spirit and his warm, genuine smile — a smile that could light up even the most difficult days. His presence brought comfort, unity, and encouragement to everyone around him. He had a special way of making people feel at home, regardless of their position or background.

I will always treasure the memories we shared during the educational tours, particularly Namibia in 2004 and South Africa in 2006. Those trips were more than just journeys across borders; they reflected the kind of leader Mr. Tshemedi truly was. He made it his personal priority to ensure that no one ever felt left out or out of place. Everyone mattered to him. He created an atmosphere of togetherness, laughter, and belonging that many leaders strive for but few genuinely achieve.

His leadership was never about power — it was about people. He understood that true greatness lies in serving others with fairness, compassion, and humility. Because of this, he earned not only our respect, but also our loyalty and admiration.

Though he may no longer be with us physically, the values he lived by continue to inspire us. His legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched, the careers he shaped, and the memories he gifted us. I will forever remain grateful for the opportunity to have known and worked under such an exceptional man.

May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his legacy continue to shine brightly for generations to come.

Tribute to Mr. Tshemedi

I first met Mr. Tshemedi when I started primary school at Adelaide. Later, my sister joined me there, while my brother went to Mpepu.

One thing that still stands out about him, even years later, is his radiant smile which he always wore. He was humble, approachable, and truly a father to all of us.

He was quietly focused and deeply dedicated, traits that continue to live on through Adelaide Primary School and what it has become today. His vision lives far beyond the school corridors, it is etched into the success of all of us who passed through those gates because of the solid foundation he gave us. Thank you, Rragwe Tshepo.

Mme Mma Tshemedi and family, may the Lord be your strength and comfort during this difficult time, and may Rre Tshemedi’s soul rest in eternal peace.

Mr. Keabetswe Tshemedi's vision in continued manifestation...

A Giant that made my early teaching career enjoyable has fallen.
I arrived at Kgalemang Motsete CJSS in the year 2001 as a Religious Education Teacher. Kgalemang is a stone throw from Adelaide Primary school and we had the privilege of admitting a lot of learners from Mr Tshemedi’s school. Well moulded learners who oozed a lot of confidence. Kgalemang would dominate RE fairs through powerful debate team that always went for nationals. We even nicknamed The great CJss the government English Medium coz of its association with Adelaide Primary school. I will forever be grateful and appreciative of Mr Tshemedi’s visionary and resilience in building such a powerful institution which inspired many children to achieve their dreams.

A giant rests…

Mr. Keabetswe Tshemedi leaves behind more than a school. He leaves behind a living legacy of resilience, vision and sacrifice.

As young entrepreneurs, his story has always inspired many of us, not only from a distance, but through tangible impact in our own lives and families. Both our daughters passed through the foundation he built at Adelaide Primary School. Like countless other parents, we entrusted our children’s early education to an institution born from one man’s refusal to surrender to rejection, hardship and doubt.

That is the true measure of legacy. It extends far beyond one’s own children or surname. It lives in every child whose character, confidence and foundation were shaped within those classrooms. It lives in every parent whose hopes for their children found a home at Adelaide.

Men like Mr. Tshemedi remind us that entrepreneurship is not merely about business or profit. It is about vision, endurance and building institutions that outlive us and serve generations we may never meet.

May his soul rest in eternal peace. And may his life continue to inspire those of us still trying to build something meaningful for Botswana and her people. 🫡🤍🤍

Oooh Mr. Tshemedi, in the year 2000, I arrived with my mother to join the Adelaide Community. Small as I was, through it all, you carried and guided us with love, patience, and understanding until I completed Standard 7 in 2002.

Even though my mother struggled with school fees, your kindness and patience never changed. Today, I realize that the patience I carry within me was built by the example you showed us as children.

Today I stand as a School Principal because my foundation and legacy began under your leadership, Sir. You did not only educate us; you shaped our lives and inspired our futures.

The love and respect you showed to your wife, Mrs. Tshemedi, also taught us something powerful about marriage and family. Because of the example you set, today we are married to men whom we know will love us the same way you loved our mother, Mrs. Tshemedi. Your love spoke loudly, and it became a lesson many of us carried into our own homes.

May your soul rest in eternal peace, Mr. Keabetswe Tshemedi.

To Mrs. Tshemedi and the children, may God comfort and strengthen you during this painful and difficult time.

As your former students, we promise to continue carrying the Adelaide School legacy forward and taking it to even greater heights, just as you always envisioned.

Rest well, Sir. Your impact will live on forever.

Uncle Tshemedi, A devoted man he was, a visionary of great wisdom, and a pillar of love within the family. He carried himself with kindness, humility, and a warm spirit that made everyone feel welcomed and valued. His heart was always open to others, and his love for family could be felt in every moment shared with him.
He was more than an uncle; he was a source of guidance, comfort, strength, and inspiration to many whose lives he touched. Though his passing leaves a painful void in our hearts, we are comforted by the beautiful memories, laughter, lessons, and love he leaves behind.
May his soul rest peacefully, and may God strengthen
and comfort the entire family during this difficult time. His legacy of love and compassion will forever remain alive in our hearts.
REST IN PEACE MALOME🕊🕊
