Puisano ya borre!๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š

Mr. Omphile Makhokhoba is a Botswana-born social scientist, volunteer gender activist, master of ceremonies (MC), and mindset change coach. He is a government employee based in Kanye and currently serves as a member of the Kanye District Men Sector.

Prior to this role, he served as Secretary of the Goodhope District Men Sector for five years, from September 2020 to September 2025. In this capacity, he executed secretarial functions while actively engaging communities through public talks and awareness campaigns. His work focused on a wide range of social issues, including behavioural change among men, bridging the gender gap, parent-child communication, support for orphans and vulnerable children, mental health awareness, climate change, gender-based violence, men's access to HIV/AIDS services, non-communicable diseases, and advocacy for key and minority populations.

In recognition of his contribution to social development and gender advocacy, Mr. Makhokhoba was part of the award-winning team that received the 2022 Gender-Based Violence Activism Award for Best Government Department in Combating Gender-Based Violence. In the same year, he was selected as one of the representatives of the Goodhope District Civil Society Groups working with BOCONGO during the 2022 Constitutional Review Process.

Mr. Makhokhoba also serves as a Presidential Youth Empowerment Campaign Coach (formerly Mindset Change Coach), where he engages young people on issues affecting their personal and professional development, including employability, entrepreneurship, economic participation, and leadership.

His commitment to volunteerism extends to civic education and democratic participation. Since 2015, he has been an active member of the Organisation for Youth and Elections in Botswana (OYEBO), a civil society organisation dedicated to addressing youth voter apathy and promoting voter education across Botswana. Through this platform, he has facilitated discussions and educational programmes on government systems, youth voting patterns and their contribution to national development, democratic participation, and the socioeconomic challenges facing tertiary students and young people in Botswana.

Through his professional work, volunteer service, and community engagement initiatives, Mr. Makhokhoba continues to champion positive social change, youth empowerment, gender equality, and community development across Botswana.

He blends his formal training in cinematic arts with corporate communication to craft compelling narrative-driven brand strategies. Known widely through his creative imprint Aron Writes, he
positions himself as a creative cultural custodian in modern landscape inspiring audiences through the profound intimacy of art and visual storytelling.

Philosophy
Operating on the belief that art is the remedy of an arching soul. By integrating emotional storytelling with visual media, he aims to break the silence primarily surrounding mental health in the modern African creative landscape and the country at large.

Keabetswe Alex Sanao is a youth leader, social innovator, theologian, and sustainable-development advocate.

He founded and serves as President of Botswana Youth Ahead Organization (BOYAO), a youth-led NGO that advances all 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals through 16 strategic departments. BOYAO connects grassroots action to national priorities in youth leadership, education, civic engagement, agripreneurship, climate action, health, justice, and economic empowerment.

Keabetswe launched two flagship youth clubs: All Brilliant Minds Club (primary to senior secondary) for leadership, academic motivation, career guidance, and growth mindsets; and Boammaaruri Inspirational Movement (tertiary) for public speaking, entrepreneurship, employability, SDG literacy, and civic participation.

He studies International Finance and Banking at Botswana Accountancy College and has completed 40+ trainings in leadership, governance, health, human rights, climate, finance, and theology.

A peer educator, motivational speaker, and peace-building advocate, Keabetswe convenes multi-stakeholder forums that include government, NGOs, students, and private partners to tackle unemployment, poverty, inequality, and social exclusion.

He represents Botswana at KABILUN Africa Think Tank and is active in SAT Botswana Youth Hub and the Botswana Youth Climate Council.

Thabo Tsotlhe M. Ngaka is a third-year Law student at the University of Botswana and a passionate advocate for disability rights and inclusion.

As the outgoing President of UBDAA - University of Botswana Disability Awareness Association and former Honourable Member of Student Parliament representing students with disabilities, Thabo has made it his mission to champion empowerment, accessibility, and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities within and beyond campus.

His advocacy goes beyond policy, it is about dignity, belonging, and making sure every voice counts in the room. He brings the legal mind and a humanitarian heart to conversations about inclusivity.
