🙏Women’s Month Finale: Celebrating Our Young Women of VBS 💪

“Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example… in love, in faith and in purity.” — 1 Timothy 4:12

As we close Women’s Month, we shine a special light on the incredible young ladies who have journeyed with us through VBS. 💛

These young women have answered God’s call with open hearts. From leading games, arts, and storytelling, to coordinating dances, preparing snacks, ensuring safety, and simply showing love to every child, they have made a lasting impact.

Some have served once, others return year after year. Some travel with us, others serve within their communities. But each one, in her own way, reflects God’s love through service.

We thank you for your time, energy, joy, and willingness to serve in children’s ministry. You are a blessing, and your “yes” continues to touch so many lives.

We encourage you to keep growing in your faith, in your academics, and in the path God is calling you to. Stay open, stay prayerful, and trust His guidance in every step you take. Continue to share your light wherever you go. ✨

💛 Women’s Month Spotlight: Mrs. Ellis 💐

“Serve one another humbly in love.” — Galatians 5:13

Mrs. Ellis is one of those wonderful blessings to our VBS family; always ready to help, always present with love. 💛

She played a special role in teaching the children, helping them understand important lessons, including about saints and making good choices. With patience and care, she guided them gently, ensuring that each child felt seen, supported, and valued.

Mrs. Ellis was always attentive to the needs around her: making sure the children had water, helping to organize supplies, managing coolers, and assisting wherever needed. Her willingness to step in and help in both big and small ways made a meaningful difference each day.

What truly stands out is her warm and loving spirit. She greeted everyone with a smile and made every child feel welcomed and cared for. Her presence brought comfort and kindness to the VBS environment.

Mrs. Ellis reminds us that service can be found in the small, thoughtful acts of love that keep everything running smoothly.

💐 Women’s Month Spotlight: Ms. Carolyn 💐

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” — Colossians 3:23

Ms. Carolyn is truly the heart of VBS in Maskall; our “boots on the ground,” ensuring that everything comes together with care, dedication, and love. 💛

From managing the logistics and planning to securing the space, organizing snacks (those cold cups were always so refreshing on those warm summer days), and rallying her community to support. She spreads the word, gathers youth volunteers from the village, and ensures that every detail is thoughtfully handled.

Each day, she showed up with a warm smile, moving back and forth to make sure everything was running smoothly. She welcomed everyone with kindness and made sure every child felt loved, cared for, and included. Her presence brought both structure and joy, creating a space where children could truly experience God’s love.

Ms. Carolyn is a true leader: faithful, selfless, and full of heart. Her willingness to serve and the way she answered God’s call made all the difference.

Thank you, Ms. Carolyn, for your tireless efforts, your leadership, and your loving service. We are so grateful for you and prayerfully look forward to returning to Maskall with you again. ✨

❤ Women’s Month Spotlight: Ms. Krista 🙏

Ms. Krista is one of our “all-around” volunteers, always ready to step in wherever she is needed, with a heart full of service and love. 💛

As one of our traveling volunteers, she has journeyed with us across VBS locations, giving her time, energy, and dedication wherever she goes.

She may be a little camera-shy, but her presence speaks louder than any photo ever could. Behind the scenes and on the ground, she is constantly moving, checking in, stepping up, and making sure everyone is where they need to be. She brings both quiet strength and dependable support to every VBS she serves.

She reminds us that true joy is found in serving others and faithfully using the gifts God has given us.

🌼Women’s Month Spotlight: Ms. Irma ❤

“Sing to the Lord with gratitude in your hearts.” — Colossians 3:16

Ms. Irma is a marvelous reminder that service to God goes beyond presence; it flows from the heart in every way we give. 💛

Through her love for worship, she helps to lead the children in song, guiding them to praise with joy and confidence. As one of the lead singers at our Masses, her voice lifts hearts and creates a space where others can truly encounter God. She is also a regular reader at Mass, faithfully proclaiming the Word and serving in the Liturgy with dedication.

Even on days when she may not be able to assist in person at VBS, Ms. Irma's love and effort are still felt. Whether it’s sharing her creativity to prepare thoughtful items for the children, helping with planning, or even contributing snacks, she continues to give of herself generously.

Beyond VBS, Ms. Irma is one of the coordinators for her parish's youth group, journeying alongside young people and helping them grow in faith. If you're looking to get your youth involved, she is always ready to guide and support with a welcoming heart.

Ms. Irma shows us that true service doesn’t depend on being everywhere; it’s about using your gifts in every way you can, whenever you can.

💛 Women’s Month Spotlight: Ms. Olivia 💛

Ms. Olivia is a beautiful example of what it means to serve with love in action. Each year at VBS in Corozal, she shows up and shows out by giving her very best for the children. From dancing and singing alongside them to joyfully sharing in our Masses, her energy is contagious, and her heart is truly inspiring.

She doesn’t wait to be asked; she is always ready to serve, generously offering what she has and making sure every child is cared for, always ensuring they receive their snacks each day. Through her laughter, kindness, and uplifting spirit, she brings joy not only to the children but also to fellow volunteers, parents, and coordinators.

Ms. Olivia is one of those warm, smiling faces the children look forward to seeing; a reminder of God’s love present among us. 💛

During this Women’s Month, VBS Belize is honored to recognize Ms. Rachel, a gentle and beautiful soul who brings peace and wisdom wherever she serves.

Ms. Rachel has a calm and comforting presence that draws others in, especially the children. With her deep knowledge and love for the faith, she especially captures their attention, sharing meaningful lessons about the Saints and inspiring young hearts to learn from their lives.

Her ability to teach with patience and grace allows children to not only listen but also truly understand and connect with the stories she shares. Through her words and example, she helps them grow in faith and discover role models who show what it means to live for God.

Ms. Rachel’s quiet strength and dedication remind us that even gentle voices can make a powerful impact.

Ms. Doris is always willing to lend a helping hand wherever it's needed. Her joyful energy brings life to every space she serves in, and her beautiful singing uplifts our Masses, helping the community worship God with deeper love and devotion.

Her care for children is especially inspiring. She is always attentive, making sure that every child is safe, comfortable, and well taken care of. Beyond that, she encourages children to participate and take on new challenges, helping them grow through new experiences, discover more about themselves, and recognize the talents God has blessed them with. She gently guides them to use those gifts to praise and honor God.

Through her kindness, encouragement, and gift of music, Ms. Doris reflects God’s love in such a meaningful and uplifting way.

🌸 Women’s Month Spotlight – Thank You, Ms. Ashley! 🌸

During this Women’s Month, VBS Belize is grateful to recognize Ms. Ashley, a wonderful volunteer whose heart for service shines brightly wherever she goes.

Ms. Ashley is always ready to jump in wherever help is needed. With a natural ability to lead and organize, she helps create a joyful and meaningful Vacation Bible School experience for children. Her dedication first helped support VBS in Belize City, and she later took the inspiring initiative to bring VBS to Burrell Boom, expanding the reach of God’s love and Word to even more children.

Her willingness to step forward in leadership and help keep plans organized makes a big difference in every program she serves. But what truly stands out is the love she shows to the children God places in her path. It’s impossible not to see the joy she shares as she sings, dances, and praises God alongside them.

Through her enthusiasm, faith, and generous spirit, Ms. Ashley helps children experience the joy of learning about God in a fun and loving way.
