Sleep test done... Now what? 😴
If you've just taken a sleep test (or you're thinking about it), it's normal to wonder what happens next. Will you get real answers? Does a result mean CPAP forever? What actually happens at that first appointment?

Here's the reassuring part: the hardest step is already behind you. 💙
At Snore MD, once your test is reviewed, our team walks you through your results in plain language, no jargon, and connects them to how you've actually been feeling. If treatment is recommended, we help you find what fits your life, coordinate your insurance, and support you long after your first appointment through our Care For Life program.

You can even come into a clinic to see the machines and try on masks in person, so you choose based on real comfort — not a picture in a brochure or website. 😴

🚗💤 Ever caught yourself fighting to keep your eyes open on the drive home?
That heavy-eyelid feeling isn't just "being tired." Untreated sleep apnea interrupts your breathing all night long — often without you noticing — so your brain never gets the deep rest it needs. On the road, that can mean slower reactions and drifting focus, right when it matters most. 😴
Here's the good news: it's fixable. Once sleep apnea is tested and treated, alertness usually improves within weeks — and research shows crash risk drops right along with it. 💤
A simple home sleep test, done in your own bed, is the first step. No guessing. Just a friendly team, treatment that fits your life, and insurance coordination handled for you.

CPAP or an oral appliance? 🤔
It's one of the most common questions we hear about treating sleep apnea, and the honest answer is: it depends on you.
They suit different people, depending on your diagnosis and how severe your sleep apnea is:
😴 CPAP: The most effective option for moderate to severe sleep apnea. A steady stream of air keeps your airway open all night.
🦷 Oral appliance: A custom-fitted device that holds your jaw forward. Can suit milder cases.
Here's the part people skip: the right choice follows a diagnosis, not a preference. A sleep test tells you what you're actually treating — so you're not guessing.
Wondering which fits your sleep? It starts with a test. 👇

Breathing a little harder this summer? You're not alone.
Between smoke, heat, and closed windows, a lot of people across BC and Alberta are sleeping worse this summer. Feeling groggy after a smoky, restless night doesn't automatically mean sleep apnea. But frequent snoring, morning headaches, unrefreshing sleep, and witnessed breathing pauses shouldn't be brushed off as "just the smoke."
💡 Tip: on heavy-smoke nights, keep windows closed and run an air purifier or your HVAC fan to help keep bedroom air cleaner.
Want the full picture? Our blog breaks down how wildfire smoke affects sleep and breathing — plus what CPAP users should know this season. And if the symptoms point beyond air quality, a sleep test can help sort it out. Learn more here: https://www.snoremdcanada.ca/summer-sleep-apnea-testing/
