Even when it doesn't feel extremely hot outside, temperatures inside a parked car can rise within minutes. This puts pets at risk for heatstroke and serious medical emergencies.

☀️ 21°C outside = 40°C inside a car after 30 minutes
☀️32°C outside = 51°C inside a car after 30 minutes

Safety reminders:
🚗 Never leave pets unattended in a parked vehicle in warm
weather
💧Always bring fresh water on outings
🌳 Keep walks to cooler morning or evening hours
🐶 Watch for signs of overheating like excessive panting or lethargy

This Townline Tuesday, we’re shining the spotlight on one of our amazing doctors, Dr. Carlos Ochoa-Sanabria, PSA! 🎉🦎🐹

Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Dr. Carlos earned his veterinary degree from the National University of Colombia before moving to Canada to complete an internship focused on swine vaccines. He also completed his MSc in Animal Nutrition!

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Carlos loves spending time outdoors hiking with his wife, Kait, and their three daughters. Whether he’s studying, caring for patients, or exploring nature with his family, his passion and dedication shine through in everything he does. 🌿🐾
