Adolescent behaviour can become challenging as young people grow up and seek independence. I support clients through unique life situations, mental health concerns, developing healthy relationships and coping with the challenges that can arise during the developmental stages of childhood through adolescents. e skills and insight to increase their ability to make healthier choices. Parents are supported in dealing with behaviour changes, recognizing their child’s assets and forming positive relationships with their children as they mature. Parents and young people are offered skills and strategies that are unique to them and their family for coping with change, conflict and external influences such as substance use, sexuality and peer influence. I am creative in my approach to improving relationships. Known for my dynamic, energetic, outgoing personality, I have the ability to create positive, trusting relationships with youth. I am non-judgemental and I incorporate many perspectives that are client focused. I believe that parents can be the most powerful positive influence on their child’s life, and the quality of that relationship should allow for mistakes and learning on both sides, so that a family can have relationships that are positive and respectful.
