What a fantastic day at the Leathertown Festival, yesterday! ☀
It was such a pleasure getting out into the community, meeting and re-connecting with so many wonderful people, and sharing a little bit about our local Acton team and what we do.
From Left to Right George Henderson (Funeral Service Assistant) also representing the Scouts, John Dunn (Funeral Service Assistant), Sharon McIsaac (Asst. Mgr. / Funeral Director), Chantel Acri (Family Service Counselor) and welcoming Jenna Boyd to our team (Funeral Director).
Days like these are a great reminder that being part of a funeral home is about so much more than what happens within our walls, it's about being there for the community we serve.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello! We had a great day and can't wait to do it again!

Acton Leathertown Festival tomorrow! 11-5
We are looking forward to seeing everyone at our tent. Stop by, say hello, and come check us out. We'd love to see some familiar faces and new ones too! 💙

In 1992 the event evolved into what is know as today as The Leathertown Festival, now in it's 33rd year and is one of Ha...

❤️ Community Helping Community ❤️
We are incredibly grateful to share that our Charity Car Wash in support of North Halton Hospice raised $877!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone in the Acton community who stopped by, had their vehicle washed, made a donation, or helped spread the word. Your generosity and support made this event a wonderful success.
A very special thank you to the students from Acton District High School and Christ the King Catholic School who volunteered their time and energy throughout the day. Your enthusiasm, hard work, and willingness to give back to the community were truly appreciated.
We would also like to thank the dedicated team at North Halton Hospice for the incredible work they do, and for partnering with us for this meaningful event.
At MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, we are honoured to support organizations that make such a positive impact in our community. Together, we can make a difference. 💚

Thank you as well to our amazing MacKinnon Family Funeral Home team for volunteering your time on a Sunday to support such a meaningful cause. Your dedication to our community extends far beyond the work you do every day, and I couldn’t be more proud of our team. ❤️

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of participating in the 40th Annual Paul Murr Golf Tournament. ⛳

This incredible event brings our community together in support of a meaningful cause, raising funds for Canadian Cancer Society - immunotherapy research. We are grateful to have been part of such a longstanding tradition and to support the ongoing efforts to advance cancer research and improve lives.

Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and golfers who continue to make a difference year after year.
