Being fitter in your 40s than you were in your 20s is exactly the flex you think it is.
But for me, this was never just about fitness.
It’s the result of 15 years of dedication to my own growth, healing, strength and becoming more deeply connected to myself.
I learned early that so much of the world’s control, judgment and oppression happens at the site of the body.
How we should look.
How we should behave.
How much space we should take.
How strong we’re allowed to be.
And then I became a mother, and the relationship with my body became even more complicated.
So I decided to reclaim it.
Not because I hate the body I had.
Because I finally understood how powerful it is.
I’ve spent 15 years studying myself — physically, mentally, emotionally. I’m a lifelong student of my body.
And this version of me wasn’t built in a decade.
She was built through discipline, curiosity, failure, resilience, heartbreak, healing and showing up again and again.
I didn’t become the woman I was supposed to be.
I became more fully the woman I already was.
This body is not a problem to solve.
It is the place where I reclaim my power.
And that is the fu***ng flex.
