In basketball, shooting 57% from the floor is elite
(Unless it’s from the free throw line - that's not great)
But if you're only hitting your nutrition 57% of the time - don’t expect all-star results.
Did you know that 43% of your year is made up of Friday's, Saturday's, and Sunday's?
Nearly half you life is spent on weekends - and that doesn't include holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, or other special milestones in life.
Unfortunately for most people, the weekend is where the disconnect is between the efforts they’re putting in and the results they’re seeing.
Let's say you've been using the 80/20 rule through the work week, but the weekend is more like... 50/50.
All of a sudden your 80/20 week turns more into a 65/45 - and nothing changes.
Use my experience as an example here...
I was gaining body fat, and didn't know why.
I played basketball every week,
I would workout 6 days a week,
And I meal prepped for the entire week.
I didn't know what I was doing wrong, so I started tracking my food - and it slapped me in the face.
While during the week was eggs and oatmeal, chicken with rice and veggies, and lean ground beef wraps everyday...
There was also nachos, wings and beer after every basketball game.
Bacon, Eggs and Hashbrowns for Breakfast every Saturday/Sunday
Fast Food for lunches all weekend long
More beer and take out food Friday and Saturday night (party time!)
And then my Sunday "cheat meal" - a big steak with a mound of potatoes and maybe some veggies typically.
I was eating thousands of calories that I didn't even recognize, all because it was the weekend.
Don't fall into that same trap.
Your weekends are a huge opportunity to build momentum and see awesome results...
But only if you stop treating them like a 48-hour buffet.

It can help in a pinch.
