We are deeply saddened by the tragic motor vehicle collision involving two of our paramedics and the patient in their care.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation. Out of respect for those involved and their loved ones, we ask that our community honour those affected without speculation, but instead with compassion and patience as they navigate the difficult days ahead.

We appreciate all of the outreach from the community. Our focus is on the families, friends, and colleagues of those who have been impacted by this tragedy. Our thoughts are also with the driver involved in the collision and their family during this difficult time.

I would like to extend my gratitude to the Tignish Recreation Department for organizing another wonderful Irish Moss Festival. Today, we participated in the parade with the theme of hometown heroes, and I was proud to bring along my own hero, my Mémé.

On Wednesday last week at our AGM we extended our heartfelt thanks to Kelly Gavin and Ralph Mac Kinnon for their incredible 6 years of volunteering on our board of directors. Their dedication, leadership, and passion have shaped our organization in ways that will be felt for years to come. Thank you both for giving your time, energy, and hearts to our mission.
