Protect your teeth this summer with a mouthguard 😁

An athlete is more likely to sustain an orofacial injury, such as a cracked tooth. It is estimated that mouthguards prevent between 100,000 and 200,000 oral injuries per year in professional football alone!

Whether you’re into baseball, soccer, or any other sport, safeguard your smile with a custom sports guard! Schedule a consultation with us today to find out about your options!

Finishing the clear aligner treatment is something many patients look forward to. But for some patients, the end of treatment can bring mixed emotions if their teeth aren’t “perfect”. Here are some reasons why:

1. Teeth may move more slowly or require more force to reach their intended position. This does not mean the treatment failed. It simply means those teeth may need some adjustment, retainers, or additional aligners to respond fully.

2. Wearing aligners for less than the recommended hours a day can lead to minor misalignment, bite issues, or small gaps that remain after the main treatment.

3. Once treatment ends, your teeth are still adjusting. They need support. If retainers are not worn consistently, your teeth can shift back into old positions.

If you are considering clear aligners or have concerns about your smile after treatment, contact us for help or a consultation.

Though it may be tempting to open a bottle or cut tape with teeth, consider that there could be risks!

Your teeth are built for chewing and speaking, not as tools. Using them the wrong way can lead to chips, cracks, or other severe dental emergencies.

Keep your smile safe; use the right tools instead 😁!
