We are excited to release the schedule for our upcoming commemoration of the 250th Anniversary of the 1776 Eddy Rebellion and Siege of Fort Cumberland.

Taking place on the weekend of August 7 – 9 in Tantramar, New Brunswick, our two-venue event will include our 18th century military encampment at Mount Whatley on the grounds of St. Mark’s Anglican Church, throughout the weekend. On Saturday between 11 & 3, we will participate in anniversary events at the Fort Beausejour – Fort Cumberland National Historic Site, staged in cooperation with Parks Canada.

DeLancey's Brigade - Revolutionary War Re-enactors

We are on the march for Tantramar.
We are pleased to announce that DeLancey’s will be in the Tantramar region on the weekend of August 7 – 9 to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the 1776 Eddy Rebellion and Siege of Fort Cumberland.
The Brigade will encamp at Mount Whatley on the grounds of St. Mark’s Anglican Church and participate in anniversary events to be held at the Fort Beausejour – Fort Cumberland National Historic Site, staged in cooperation with Parks Canada, on Saturday, August 8.
The weekend will include re-enactor demonstrations both in our camp and at the Fort, including military and civilian activities. Plans also in include guest presenters and a special program that will explore the experience of local residents at the time of the siege as related by their descendants.
The full schedule of events for the weekend is nearing completion and will be released shortly.
Please come out and see us in August.

PLEASE NOTE: The Annual General Meeting of the CUMBERLAND COUNTY GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY will be held on Tuesday Nov. 18, 2025 at the Amherst Police Station in the Francis Smith Room starting at 2:30 PM. Our speaker for this event will be Hal Davidson on the "No. 2 Battalion Experience". Everyone is welcome. Refreshments following meeting.
