Tight quads can make everything, from walking to training, feel heavier than it needs to 🏃
Here are 3 simple ways to release that tension and keep your legs moving freely:
1️⃣ Rolling Pin or Tiger Tail: 10–15 passes per side
2️⃣ Foam Roll: 10–15 passes per muscle
3️⃣ Side-Lying Quad Stretch: Hold 30 seconds, 3 times per side
Consistency with small recovery habits like these can make a huge difference in your mobility and comfort.
✔️ Save this for later! Your legs will thank you after your next workout!

Sore knees doesn’t always mean the problem starts at your knees 🦵
Tight quads often take over from the glutes and hamstrings, pulling on the hips and creating that familiar ache in your knees (and sometimes even your low back).
When the outer quad gets overactive and the inner one (the VMO) weakens, it throws off your balance and stability 😶
A focused treatment can help release tension, rebalance strength, and get you moving pain-free again.

👐 How often do you get a massage? On a regular schedule, or only when your benefits are about to expire?
If you want to stay active, maintain good posture, and feel pain-free 👉 regular massage is key.
Michael starts each session focusing on the back, the muscles there impact your neck, shoulders, lower back, and hips. He begins gently to encourage blood flow, then tailors every massage to your needs, whether you prefer deep tissue or a therapeutic, pain-free experience.
📅 Michael is in the clinic Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Don’t wait! Book your session today and feel your best year-round!

🤔 Have you ever wondered what active aging looks like?
An Ossum client in her 60s came to us with recurring hip and back stiffness that was starting to affect the things she loved most: golf, walking, and gardening.
She wasn’t looking to slow down. She was looking for a plan that would help her keep going 💪
So that’s what we built: A plan that combined FST, RMT, and Athletic Therapy alongside at-home exercises she could realistically stick to between sessions. The goal was never to stop her from doing things, it was to help her do them with more confidence and less pain
That’s what active aging looks like to us 👉 The right plan makes all the difference.

Travel often means long hours sitting ✈️, sleeping in different beds 🛌, and carrying bags 🧳
It’s not surprising if you come home feeling a little more stiff and tense than when you left. Some common travel complaints are:
👉 Neck stiffness
👉 Headaches
👉 Low back tension
👉 Hip tightness
👉 Shoulder pain from luggage
In this case, we recommend taking short walking breaks during travel days and adding a few simple stretches, like chin tucks, upper trap stretch, and doorway pec stretch.
And if the tension sticks around, Registered Massage Therapy can help reduce muscle tension and improve mobility so you can get back to moving comfortably.
Because the only thing you should be bringing home from vacation is the good stuff 😉

Pain relief is only one part of recovery, not the finish line 🏁
Returning too soon is one of the most common reasons injuries come back.
Feeling better and being ready to handle real life, sport, and activity again are two very different things, and the gap between them is exactly where Athletic Therapy lives 💪
If you’re wondering whether your body is truly ready to return, that’s worth finding out before you do. Book your assessment with us today 💙

We notice more than you think!
The way you walk in 🚶how you sit down 🪑 which shoulder sits higher 💪 how you turn your head 👤 your body is already telling us a story before you say a single word.
Most people come in focused on where it hurts. We’re paying attention to everything else, because that’s where the real answers tend to live.
👉 That’s why one-on-one care changes everything. When we have the time and space to actually observe how you move, nothing gets missed.

😬 First steps out of bed sore?
Leave a golf ball or lacrosse ball on your nightstand and roll out the bottom of your foot! Try it for 1 to 2 minutes per side.
🦶 This is the first exercise we give every plantar fasciitis client who walks through our door
Save this and try it in the morning!

🦶 With any lower body injury: ankle sprain, plantar fasciitis, achilles tendonitis, or any lower body issue, balance is a crucial part of your recovery.
This move is simple, effective, and something you can work on every day at home.
Save this and give it a try!

Your ankles are your body’s first point of contact with the ground, and when they’re stiff, everything above them has to compensate 🦶
The feet and ankles act as shock absorbers with every step. When the bones and joints aren’t mobile enough to do that job, the load gets transferred up the chain to joints that weren’t designed to handle it. That’s often where knee tendonitis, hip pain, and lower back discomfort start showing up, and why treating those areas alone doesn’t always solve the problem.
👉 Ankle mobility is one of the first things we assess. Because sometimes the root cause is closer to the ground than you’d expect.
