It’s been a season of growth at The Skin Clinic Antigonish, and we’re looking for one more person to join us.

We’re looking to hire an LPN or RN to join our clinic team, with the goal of having someone trained and ready to help us heading into the fall.

This role would be approximately 2 days per week, with compensation to be discussed based on experience and suitability.

Certification and experience in medical aesthetics are preferred, but we are open to training the right person through THMA consulting.

The most important thing? Finding someone who is a good fit for our clinic, our patients, and the way we provide care.

This role may include treatments such as:
• Neurotoxins
• Injectable treatments
• Microneedling
• Laser treatments
• Skin health consultations

We believe in a slow, supported transition, including shadowing, mentorship, and time to build confidence within the clinic.

If you are an LPN or RN who is interested in medical aesthetics, values natural results, patient-focused care, and being part of a supportive clinic environment, we would love to hear from you.

Sometimes the goal isn’t more volume, it’s better balance ⚖️

A gummy smile happens when the upper lip lifts high enough to show more gum tissue when you smile.

This can be related to lip anatomy, muscle movement, tooth or gum proportions, or even jaw structure.

‼️And it’s important to say that it isn’t a flaw, it’s a preference.

For this patient, we used a small amount of neurotoxin to gently relax the muscles that pull the upper lip upward. This allows the lip to soften, “flip” slightly outward, and sit in a more balanced position when smiling.

No filler. No added volume. Just a natural-looking adjustment that helps create a softer, more proportionate smile while keeping his features looking like his own.

🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈Pride Month feels like an important time to say this clearly: everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and supported in their care.

In medical aesthetics, we often talk about helping people feel more confident and comfortable in their own skin. For many people, that care can feel affirming.

But we also want to be clear that gender-affirming care for trans and non-binary people is not simply cosmetic.

It is deeply personal healthcare, and it deserves to be protected, respected, and approached with compassion.

We don’t have to fully understand someone else’s lived experience to respect their right to safe, affirming care.

At The Skin Clinic Antigonish, our goal is to create a space where people feel informed, supported, and welcome exactly as they are.

🚪Four years ago, we opened our doors as Nurse Yvonne Aesthetics….

Since then, we’ve grown from one, to two, to three, to four…and now a team of five, working together to bring thoughtful, personalized care to skin health and medical aesthetics in Antigonish.

It’s pretty incredible to look back on how much has changed in four years, but we know that growth didn’t happen on its own. It happened because of you. Our clients are truly what have shaped this clinic 😊

You come to us with different goals, different concerns, different stories, and different seasons of life, and being trusted with your care is something we never take lightly.

Usually, we celebrate with an event, but this year we’re taking a little break from that ✨

Between our new location, our expanded team, new treatments, and a very full schedule, we’re keeping things a little more simple this time around…

…but simple doesn’t mean boring 😉

This month, we’ll be celebrating our 4th birthday by reintroducing ourselves, sharing more about who we are now as The Skin Clinic Antigonish, and taking a little time to reflect on how far we’ve come….Because it’s our birthday month, and apparently we can do what we want 🤷‍♀️
