Drug Alert: Winnipeg - Wed. August 12, 2026

Round white tablets sold as hydromorphone/Dilaudid/Dillys, marked with “DID” on one side and “8” on the other were brought to Nine Circles on July 31 for testing prior to use.

Local FTIR results were inconclusive. Test strips were positive for fentanyl. A sample was sent to Health Canada Drug Analysis service for confirmation, which found para-fluorofentanyl and a fentanyl precursor.

Para-fluorofentanyl is a synthetic opioid that was never intended for human use. It is considered to be about 100x stronger than morphine.

Drug Alert: Winnipeg - Thu. June 18, 2026

A red pill with a Louis-Vuitton-style “LV” on it, purchased as ECSTASY was found to contain M**A and methamphetamine.

The pill was brought to Street Connections on May 27. While it is not uncommon for M**A pills to contain other substances, the presence of methamphetamine was not expected or desired by the service users.

The combination of M**A and methamphetamine can cause unusual overheating and dehydration.

Be aware that M**A/ecstasy pills often contain other substances.

Be aware of the symptoms of stimulant “overdose,” also called “overamping”:
-Difficulty breathing
-Hot, flushed, or sweaty skin
-Headaches
-Nausea and vomiting
-Panic and anxiety
-Agitation
-Seizures
-Becoming unconscious

Stay hydrated and don’t use alone. Have someone with you who can keep an eye on you in case you need medical attention. Attend drug checking services to get your substances tested.
