INTENT

It took me some extra time to think through "my word" for 2024.  I almost wanted to pick the same words I had from either 2022 or 2023 because, frankly, I'm not done with them. I feel like I'm just getting started!

When you know, you know, and I've landed on the word, Intent, as my word for 2024.

- To be intentional with how I spend my time and who I spend it with. (Hello to putting down the phone and really being present with those around me).

- To be intentional with opportunities I take on and the ones that I do not.

- To be intentional with my parenting and the way I show up in my home for my kids and my partner.

- To be intentional with my nutrition and the ways  I choose to prioritize movement in line with my future goals.

Did you pick a word for 2024? What is it?

Health trends!
This week, I was interviewed by a national magazine on "health trends" to watch for in the coming year, and I'm not sure they got the responses they were expecting.
Here's the problem with health trends. When something is a trend, it implies that it is something that will come and go.

Sometimes, things can start at trends, then stick around and shift the way we think about health ongoing. For example, I expect we'll continue to see conversations about perimenopause deepen over the next year. It's not just a trend!
Sometimes, things that are trendy are just distractions away from the focus on what really matters with your health. (Ie. Remember green coffee bean extract? Lol)
How do you feel about health trends? What are some your favourites that have come and gone?
