We’re kicking off May, aka Speech & Hearing Month, with some examples of what is considered “speech” and what is considered “language.”

Did you know speech and language are not the same thing? 🧐

Speech = how we say sounds and combine them into words
Language = how we understand and use spoken words (and other forms of communication like gestures, body language and AAC) to communicate
