training is finished!

i consider it a huge success just based on the fact that i stuck through a whole program & ~bonus~ didn’t get injured

now the goal is to hang onto these gains in strength & power through the spring, then build on them this summer!

i often have to force myself to move the way i know is supposed to be easiest.

my first strategy feels comfortable, but i just can’t stick the move.

moving the way i’m “supposed” to move doesn’t always feel easier, but the moves tend to go down more consistently.

in this case:
☝️ go through as much shoulder range as possible
✌️ twist the hips in toward the rock

takeaway: move better, keep at it

🧗‍♀️ should i climb fast? should i climb slowly? should i be controlled? should i be dynamic?

✔️ the answer is yes. you should have all of these different styles at your disposal.

🤷‍♂️ even if it doesn’t seem like a climb that should be climbed super slowly and precisely, it’s worth trying it out anyways. what doesn’t work about climbing it a certain way and why?

🙌 easy warmup climbing is the best time to really work on technique or other drills like this!
