Over the past two days, LifeVac® has helped save 8 more lives in choking emergencies across the U.S. 🇺🇸 and Canada 🇨🇦 — bringing the worldwide total to 6,560 reported lives saved. 💜🌎

Today, we’re sharing the story behind Save #6,560. 🙏

A 3½-year-old girl suffered a complete airway obstruction after choking on a hair clip while her family was driving home. 🚗 Her father immediately pulled over and began back blows while her mother quickly retrieved their LifeVac®.

After two uses of LifeVac®, the hair clip was dislodged. She took her first breath and began to cry. ❤️‍🩹

Her father shared:

“She took her first breath and cried. She cried, my wife cried, I cried.” 🥹💜

We are incredibly thankful this precious little girl is safe and back in the arms of her family. 🙏💜

Another life saved in Canada 🇨🇦❤️

On August 24 in Kamloops, BC, a 75-year-old man experienced a partial airway obstruction while eating sausage.

When he was unable to clear the obstruction independently, a care aide used LifeVac. After two applications, the obstruction was successfully dislodged.

“Based on the outcome, I would say yes — LifeVac saved his life.”

We’re grateful to the care team for being prepared when every second mattered. 🙏

LifeVac is thrilled to share that over the past two days, 11 more lives were saved in choking emergencies. Today, we’re sharing the powerful story behind LifeVac Save #6521, when a 5-month-old boy experienced a complete airway blockage from vomit.
His family shared:
"Our baby hadn’t been able to make a sound despite multiple attempts at putting him over our knee. We were completely panicking. It took two tries and it cleared his airway and he finally began to cry. We took him to the ER afterwards and they said his oxygen levels were back to normal. I honestly don’t know what we would have done without the device."
❤️ We are incredibly thankful this precious baby is safe.

Today, we share details on Save #6238. An 8-year-old girl choked on blood during a seizure. Protocol was followed. LifeVac dislodged the obstruction on its first attempt! She was playing with her cousins at Grandma's new home. She was on top of a moving box. When the top collapsed, she fell and cracked the side of her head on the concrete. She seized, bit her tongue & was choking on the blood. We were able to use the LifeVac to clear her throat which woke her up.To read the full story, go to: https://lifevac.net/blogs/saved-lives/life-saved-6238

Over the weekend, 9 more lives were saved in choking emergencies. Today, we are grateful to share the story of Save #6588. A 10-month-old boy was saved after choking on a small piece of raw apple. His mother shared:
"My baby swallowed a small chunk of raw apple. He was silent choking/completely still. My husband was performing infant back thrusts. We couldn’t get it dislodged and were on the phone with 911. I grabbed the LifeVac from our cabinet and was able to dislodge the apple on the first try. I genuinely think this saved his life. I purchase one for every baby shower that I go to as a result. It was the scariest 15 seconds of my life."
We are incredibly thankful this precious little boy is safe and back in the arms of his family.
