Your Guide To: Boundary Setting 🤍

Many people struggle with boundary setting because they fear conflict, guilt, or disappointing others. Over time, however, unclear boundaries can lead to stress, burnout, resentment, and emotional exhaustion.

Boundary setting can feel uncomfortable at first, especially if you’re used to putting others first. However, setting boundaries is not about pushing people away. It’s about creating healthy limits that protect your well being, energy, and relationships.

Remember: saying “no” does not make you selfish. Your needs matter too.

Self-compassion isn’t about ignoring what’s hard. It’s about how you meet yourself in it.

You don’t have to get it perfect. Even small moments of self-compassion count 🤍

STOP is a DBT skill that can support emotional regulation and help reduce impulsive reactions.

When emotions feel intense or things start moving too fast, it can be hard to respond in ways that feel aligned with you.

The STOP skill invites a pause: Stop. Take a step back. Observe. Proceed.

You don’t have to react right away. A small moment of space can make room for a different response.

The 5-4-3-2-1 grounding exercise can help bring you back to the present moment when things feel overwhelming.

Move through it at your own pace. There’s no “right” way to do it. Even noticing one or two things is a start.

Come back to this anytime you need a gentle reset 🩵

Regulation doesn’t always look calm, quiet, or still. 💚

This visual resource offers a thoughtful reminder that behaviours such as irritability, shutdown, restlessness, perfectionism, or avoidance can often reflect a nervous system in need of support, safety, and connection.

Approaching ourselves and others with curiosity and compassion can help foster deeper understanding, meaningful regulation, and connection.

Thank you Unyte for creating this resource!
