Did you know hot dogs are the leading cause of food-related choking deaths in children under 3 and cause approximately 17% of choking deaths in children under 9?1 With summer BBQs in full swing, it's important to be prepared. The American Academy of Pediatrics advises removing the casing from hot dogs (if applicable) and cutting them lengthwise or into very small pieces before giving them to children to help reduce the risk of choking. This simple preparation can make a big difference, and LifeVac can provide added peace of mind in an emergency. Be prepared with LifeVac. To get yours today, go to www.lifevac.net

LifeVac Canada Inc. is proud to donate 13 LifeVac devices to Fresh Start Support Services in St. Thomas, Ontario. ❤️

We are incredibly grateful to Carolyn Bernardo, SSW, Certified Trauma Integration Practitioner, for organizing this initiative and helping bring these potentially life-saving devices to an organization doing such meaningful work within the community.

As Fresh Start opens the doors to their new 12-unit House of Homes project, these devices will help provide added peace of mind for mothers, children, and staff by equipping each unit and community space with an additional layer of emergency preparedness.

“At Fresh Start, we worked tirelessly to ensure that our moms and their children would have the safest and most worry-free home possible,” shared Carolyn Bernardo. “Having LifeVac devices readily available offers such an important sense of security in the event of a life-threatening emergency. This would not have been possible without the generosity and support of LifeVac Canada Inc. and everyone involved in making this donation happen.”

We are honoured to support Fresh Start Support Services and the incredible work they do every day. Partnerships like this help expand awareness, preparedness, and access to emergency airway clearance devices where they may be needed most.

Together, we can continue building safer communities. 💙
