Thank you, Risa, for sharing your wisdom, experience, and heartfelt insights at the Green Bench Event at Georgian College with students enrolled in the Personal Support Worker program.

Your message was a beautiful reminder that caring for our elders goes far beyond meeting their physical needs. It’s about human connection, meaningful conversations, compassion, dignity, and truly seeing the person behind the care.

Sometimes, the most important lessons in caregiving aren’t found in textbooks, but in the simple moments of listening, sharing stories, and making someone feel valued, heard, and understood.

Thank you, Risa, for inspiring the next generation of caregivers and reminding us all of what truly matters. Because at the heart of care is connection. 💚

Happy Pride Month 🌈

At Schlegel Villages, we believe every person deserves to feel welcomed, respected, valued, and free to be themselves.

! We celebrate the diversity of our residents, families, team members, volunteers, and communities. We recognize the importance of creating spaces where everyone belongs and where every story, experience, and identity is honoured.

Pride is about authenticity, acceptance, courage, community, and love.
