John 4:11 – “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water?”
Whole Person Care
This verse captures a deeply human moment in the conversation. The Samaritan woman is thinking in practical, physical terms. She sees the well. She knows its depth. She recognizes the challenges, no bucket, no rope, no visible way to access what Jesus is offering. From her perspective, what He is saying doesn’t seem possible.
But underneath her question is something deeper. She is processing, questioning, trying to understand. She is curious, leaning in, even though the path forward feels uncertain.
People often come to Envisage with real, practical concerns, shaped by their experiences and difficult challenges. They may not know what to do next or see what’s possible. They could be curious and cautious, and that’s okay.
Care meets people in their questions. It welcomes them, doesn’t rush, and walks alongside them. Just as Jesus did, it leans in gently, and listens as they move from what feels limited into confidence and hope.

He meets her emotions, her circumstances, and her thoughts. He restores her relationally, bringing dignity and connection in a world that had overlooked her. And He meets her spiritually, offering living water that satisfies the deepest longings of her heart.
