The transition back to school can bring excitement, new routines, and sometimes big emotions for children. Madeleine works with children, including children on the autism spectrum, to help them build the skills they need to feel more confident and supported at school and at home.

Sessions can help children manage anxiety, develop emotional regulation, strengthen social skills and friendships, build healthy routines, and learn calm, effective coping strategies. Madeleine also supports children in developing flexible thinking, resilience, and the confidence to navigate challenges and changes with greater ease.

Appointments are available in-person, as well as virtually.

If you are not currently a client of Madeleine, she offers free 15-minute consultations if you’d like to see if your child is a good fit.

✨ PMOS isn’t just about your period.

It can show up in so many different ways; irregular cycles, acne, hair changes, difficulty with ovulation, blood sugar imbalances, fatigue, and challenges with fertility.

And while there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to PMOS, understanding why your symptoms are happening is an important first step. 🤍

At Empower Health & Wellness, we take a whole-person approach to women’s health and can support you with things like:
🌿 Acupuncture
🥗 Nutrition
🩺 Naturopathic care
💆‍♀️ Stress & nervous system support
✨ Fertility & cycle support

Your symptoms are worth listening to - not just managing.

Ever wonder why your healthcare provider sends you home with stretches and exercises? Because what happens between your appointments matters just as much as what happens during them.

Your “homework” isn’t meant to keep you busy - it’s designed to help your body hold onto the progress made during treatment. Stretching can improve mobility, reduce muscle tension, support better posture, decrease pain, and help prevent the same issue from coming right back.

Think of your appointments as the reset, and your stretches as the maintenance that keeps everything moving in the right direction.

Consistency beats perfection. Even 5–10 minutes a day can make a meaningful difference over time. 🤍 So the next time your healthcare team gives you homework... know it’s because we’re rooting for your long-term results, not just a quick fix.

SWIPE TO READ EACH POST AND CAPTION 🫶🏼

Supplements can help, but they don’t replace sleep, real food, movement or water.

If the basics aren’t in place, supplements won’t do much.

The boring habits are the ones that work. Doing a little, often, works better than doing a lot sometimes.

You don’t need a perfect routine. You need one that you can stick to.

Stress affects your body, not just your mood. Long-term stress can show up as tiredness, breakouts, digestive issues, or feeling “off”

Your body reacts to stress, even when you push through it.

More workouts, more rules, more restrictions can sometimes make things worse, not better.

Too much pressure can slow progress and cause burn out.

Rest is a part of being healthy. Feeling tired, isn’t a flaw - it’s a sign that your body needs a pause.

Rest helps your body recover, balance, and feel stronger.

Your body isn’t working against you. Symptoms are signs that your body is trying to get your attention.

Listening early can prevent bigger problems later.

đź’» Your desk job may be paying the bills... but it could also be paying a toll on your body.

Hours spent sitting can lead to tight hips, rounded shoulders, neck tension, headaches, low back pain, wrist discomfort, and even jaw tension. Over time, these small daily stresses add up, affecting the way your body moves and feels.

The good news? You don’t have to wait until you’re in pain to do something about it. Whether it’s acupuncture, massage therapy, osteopathy, or simply building more movement into your day, giving your body the support it needs can make all the difference.

Your body was designed to move, not stay stuck in one position all day. 🤍

You keep showing up, staying strong, handling everything, overriding your needs, and telling yourself you would rest once things finally calmed down. But your body was listening the whole time. It felt the exhaustion you minimized, the stress, you normalized, and the emotions you pushed aside.

At some point, the body stops, asking gently.

Fatigue, pain, anxiety, dizziness, flares, tension, insomnia, or shut down, become the way that your system says “I cannot keep doing this!”

✨ Food for thought: Your metabolism isn’t built on restriction; it’s fueled by nourishment.

Instead of fearing food, focus on choosing foods that work for your body. Protein, healthy fats, fibre-rich carbohydrates, and nutrient-dense whole foods help support energy production, balanced blood sugar, hormone health, and a healthy metabolism.

A healthy metabolism isn’t about eating less, it’s about giving your body what it needs to thrive. 💛
