St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation

St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation

Our very active registered charity has been raising funds in support of the equipment needs of the St Francis Memorial Hospital since 2001. Recently, the Foundation has enhanced its scope to include fundraising for all of the non profit healthcare organizations, including the MV Hospice Palliative Care program and the Valley Manor Nursing Home. Our goal is to create an opportunity for the donors o

f the Madawaska Valley and area to advance healthcare by ensuring support for equipment and facility needs through the efforts of one fundraising organization. The SFVH Foundation will work in partnership with the three organizations to inclusively fundraise based on long term plans for the healthcare needs of the community. The Foundation is closely connected with our community and receives strong support from individuals and organizations throughout our healthcare catchment area.

Deborah Capone moved to Carson Lake in 2017 after she fell in love with the area, and has been consistently buying Catch the Ace tickets over the years to support local healthcare needs.

She was certainly not expecting to win when she purchased her ticket online this time around. Deborah chose envelope #1 - her birthday - which revealed the three of clubs.

Although she didn't find the Ace of Spades, she's still taking home the weekly prize of $768. Deborah plans on buying herself a new shed for her garden this summer, and will be putting her winnings towards that.

Catch the Ace is a fundraising initiative of the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation. Net proceeds help local healthcare partners purchase essential medical equipment and support services, ensuring care stays close to home when it’s needed most.

Be sure to get your ticket for the Week 8 draw, where the estimated weekly prize is $800 and the progressive jackpot is sitting at approximately $15,044. Find the Ace of Spades and win both for a total estimated prize of $15,844.

With the support of Madawaska Valley Hospice Palliative Care, Darryl Stoppa had been caring for his wife Jeanette at home throughout her illness.

As her needs became more complex, hospice provided comfort not only for Jeanette, but for those caring for her as well - allowing Darryl to step away from the role of caregiver and simply spend meaningful time with his wife during her final days.

“When Jeanette came to hospice, we were welcomed with open arms,” said Darryl. “The staff and volunteers made a very difficult time feel comforting and supportive.”

Did you know that funds raised from the upcoming butterfly release will go toward hospice palliative care services in the community?
