🧩 While playing with young children, people often focus only on counting or naming colours. Instead, try using a variety of functional words while playing. You can also describe what is happening in short utterances.

🪴The more words a child is exposed to, the greater their vocabulary will grow.

Did you know SLPs assess and manage dysphagia?

💙💚🧡June is Dysphagia Awareness Month 💙💚🧡

Did you know that swallowing is something we do more than 700 times each day — using over 50 pairs of muscles? For the more than 15 million Americans living with dysphagia, something most people never think twice about can become difficult, frustrating, and even dangerous.

This month, the National Foundation of Swallowing Disorders is raising awareness, sharing education, and amplifying the voices of those impacted by swallowing disorders. Together, we can increase understanding, improve access to care, and support safer swallowing for all.
