“I’ll be back in one minute.” 😅

What clients think happens in that minute:
✨ We check your chart.
✨ We wash our hands.
✨ We calmly prepare for your treatment.

What actually happens:
🏃‍♀️ Speed-walk to the bathroom.
💧 Chug half a bottle of water.
🍌 Eat three bites of a protein bar before remembering we have to chew.
🧴 Grab supplies.
😮‍💨 Take one deep breath.
🏃‍♀️ Sprint back like nothing happened.

Massage therapists don’t really get coffee breaks. That one minute between clients is often our only chance to eat, drink, use the washroom, and reset before giving the next person our full attention.

So yes… when we say, “I’ll be back in one minute,” we’re about to compete in the Therapeutic Olympics. 😂

Before your massage, I always ask, “Have you had a massage before?” 😅

Sometimes the answer is “yes”… but then I walk back into the room and find someone sitting fully clothed on the table, lying upside down, or somehow managing to invent a brand new position I didn’t even know was possible. 😂

Don’t worry—there’s no judgment here! Whether it’s your first massage or your fiftieth, I’ll always explain everything and help you get comfortable. We’ve seen it all, and we promise you’re not the first (or the last)! ❤️
