Now Offering Brainspotting

Kim is pleased to offer Brainspotting: a gentle yet powerful therapy that helps people process trauma, anxiety, emotional pain, and other life challenges at a deeper level.

Sometimes our minds understand what has happened, but our bodies and nervous systems continue to carry the impact. Brainspotting helps access these deeper emotional and physical responses, allowing the brain and body to process and heal in ways that may not be possible through talking alone.

Brainspotting can help with trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, emotional overwhelm, grief, relationship wounds, addiction, and feeling stuck in recurring patterns. During a Brainspotting session, a specific eye position, or "brainspot," is identified that connects to the area of the brain and nervous system where emotional experiences may be stored. By mindfully focusing on this spot within the safety of the therapeutic relationship, the brain's natural ability to process and heal can be activated, often leading to deeper emotional resolution, increased regulation, and lasting change.

If you would like to find out more, you can set up a free 15 minute consultation with Kim. She would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

"Being in the sandwich generation can be both rewarding and exhausting. You are making a meaningful difference in the lives of your children, parents, and grandchildren. At the same time, it is vital to care for your own well-being."

Read the blog to find out more about how to protect yourself from burnout if you're in the stage of life caring for young adult children, aging parents, and possibly also young grandchildren.

Being part of the “sandwich generation” can feel like living in constant motion — pulled in multiple directions by the needs of both aging parents and young adult children, and sometimes even caring for grandchildren. While this stage of life can bring deep meaning and connection, it also come...

"Many recurring arguments are not really about the surface issue at all. They are often rooted in deeper needs such as feeling valued, respected, safe, or understood. When couples slow down enough to explore what the conflict means emotionally, the conversation shifts from problem-solving to connection-building. Check out the article to learn more.

Arguments are a normal and inevitable part of any close relationship. In fact, research shows that conflict itself isn’t what predicts relationship distress — it’s how couples handle conflict that matters most. Drawing on principles from the work of the The Gottman Institute, couples can lear...
