Did you know? Endometriosis is not caused by an estrogen issue.

Although once beleived to be the culprit, estrogen does not cause endometriosis but rather endometriosis is influenced by our hormones. Growing research indicates that endometriosis is related to immune system dysfunction.

Endometiosis not just a period problem. It is a whole body chronic inflammatory condition that can affect 1/10 women. Main symptoms include: Pain.

Believe it or not periods are supposed to be painless..sadly this is not the case for many women. But decreasing your pain is possible. No more missing school/work, dragging out the hot water bottle and pain meds to help make it through the next several days. I know - I've been there.

Your body is trying to tell you something! Having painful periods are an indicator that something is going on - this could be the influence of stress or inflammation, gut bugs, or imbalances in our female s*x hormones (Estrogen/Progesterone) - and I can help you figure that out and devise a plan to address it!

Acne is the worst. It is so much more than just spots…it can affect our confidence influencing relationships, our choices that influence our growth, and our activities that influence our health. We spend money and time trying to figure out ways to get rid of the acne but it keeps coming back, each time adding to the frustration we feel.

Our skin is a mirror of our internal health. It is important to get to the root to figure out how to deal with our skin concerns. Topical treatments alone are not the answer. We must consider:

1. Hormones – this may include insulin, stress hormone cortisol, estrogen, androgens (testosterone) which all overlap and influence each other and your skin.
2. Gut health – dysbiosis influences inflammation and hormone signalling both contributing to skin issues.
3. Eating habits and deficiencies – which can be aggravating your symptoms. Top three: fried/fatty foods, milk chocolate and excessive dairy.

Thinking about pregnancy? Start with general recommendations to implement now during the preconception phase. This will improve fertility for when the time is right, and make the process less overwhelming if done in stages.

Start with the basic in advance - at least 6 months+ out.

get moving, implement deep breathing throughout the day, go to bed before 11pm, change all things white to brown (or brown to browner), have 2 cups of veggies per meal, limit alcohol to less then 4 drinks/week, quit smoking...
