Why does your acupuncturist ask about your sleep? 👀

Because in Traditional Chinese Medicine, sleep can provide important clues about what’s happening in the body.

Questions about your sleep patterns, energy, and daily habits help practitioners understand the bigger picture — not just the symptom that brought you in.

At CCATCM, students learn how to look beyond the obvious and understand the connections between different signs the body provides.

Because every detail can be part of the story.

Acupuncture is more than just placing a needle. 🪡

Before a treatment begins, practitioners are looking at the full picture — the person, their symptoms, their patterns, and how everything connects.

That’s why acupuncture education goes far beyond learning point locations.

Students build a foundation in anatomy, theory, safety, and clinical thinking before applying those skills with real patients.

The needle is only one part of the practice.

The understanding behind it is what makes the difference. ✨

For cosmetic acupuncture, the goal is more than just appearance. ✨

Dr. Li shares how cosmetic acupuncture looks at the relationship between the body, skin, and overall health through a Traditional Chinese Medicine approach.

Students learn how different techniques, points, and treatment strategies work together to support natural care from the inside out.

Because cosmetic acupuncture is not just about the surface — it’s about understanding the whole person behind the treatment.

The best acupuncture results come from more than just knowing where to place a needle. 🪡

Dr. Li shares that successful treatment starts with the right diagnosis, understanding how points work together, and developing the skill to create a treatment plan that fits each patient.

Behind every needle is knowledge, experience, and a deeper understanding of the person receiving care.

This is why acupuncture education goes beyond memorizing points — it’s about learning the theory, technique, and clinical thinking behind every treatment.

The “third eye” point students are often curious about: Yintang. ✨

Located between the eyebrows, Yintang is one of the acupuncture points studied in Traditional Chinese Medicine for its connection to relaxation and calming the mind.

In this demonstration, Dr. Li shares how this point is understood within TCM and why it is an important point for students to learn.

Acupuncture is not just about the location of a point.

It’s about understanding the relationship between the body, mind, emotions, and the bigger picture of care.

When you first start learning acupuncture, you quickly realize there’s a lot more to it than “just find the spot and place the needle.” 😂🪡

That tiny point on the body?

It comes with a whole backstory.

Students learn the location, the anatomy, the theory, the technique, and why that specific point matters.

Because becoming an acupuncturist isn’t about memorizing a giant map of dots…

It’s about understanding what those dots actually mean.

At CCATCM, students build that knowledge through hands-on training, clinical experience, and plenty of practice finding those “tiny but important” points.

Liver 3, also known as Taichong, is one of the key points students learn when studying acupuncture and meridian theory.

In this demonstration, Dr. Li explains how this point is located on the liver meridian and how practitioners learn to understand the relationship between individual points and the body’s overall patterns.

Students at CCATCM don’t just memorize acupuncture points, they learn the history, theory, techniques, and clinical reasoning behind how points are used.

Your body is always communicating. ✨

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, symptoms are only one piece of the puzzle.

Sleep, digestion, energy, stress, and other everyday patterns can help practitioners understand what’s happening beneath the surface.

That’s why TCM looks at the whole person — not just one symptom.

Fertility acupuncture is about understanding the body, the meridians, and how different techniques are used within Traditional Chinese Medicine.

In this demonstration, Dr. Li shares how specific acupuncture points and meridian direction are used in fertility-focused care.

Students at CCATCM learn how to understand point location, energy flow, and the theory behind different acupuncture approaches through hands-on training and clinical practice.

Because acupuncture is not just about knowing where a point is — it’s understanding why and how it fits into a larger treatment approach.
