Big news!! Starting November 13, I will be offering services out of Bliss Day Spa in Trenton on Mondays! By offering more acupuncture, including facial acupuncture, I wanted a spot where you can feel completely serene. You can still find me at The Right Fit on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays with a more upbeat vibe ! All naturopathic services will be available at each location.

This was my view 1 week post partum 😍 When a baby is breastfeeding around the clock in the early days, it can be tough to know how to help a mama whose hands are full.

This was the greatest way my husband supported me when he went back to work - making sure I had tons of healthy food chopped and ready to go in the fridge (with treats of course!) and lots of water. (Mega bonus points to him for a plate full of things I could eat one-handed while baby napped and fed!)
It’s easy to preach self care to new moms and encourage them to take care of themselves. It’s another to actually enable them to do this.

👆🏼 THIS is what new parents want!

Remember when you visit a new baby, the best way to help a new parent is by being a rockstar helper. It can be tempting to soak in hours of baby snuggles, but most new parents really want support more than anything.

Don’t forget to sign up for my You’re Going To Be A Grandma Workshop on Nov 10. It covers all of this and more!!

How to help
✔️ bring food, snacks, extras for the freezer
❌ expect to be hosted

✔️ Be specific about offering help that you’re comfortable doing - picking up essentials, cleaning, laundry, etc
❌ wait to be asked or say “let me know if you need anything” (because most people will never ask)

✔️ Tell the new mom how amazing they are, offer encouragement and listen to what they’re going through
❌ judge, offer unsolicited advice or compare to others

✔️ Wash your hands and hold the baby when offered (and bonus if it gives mom time for a nap or shower)
❌ overstay your welcome
