Some things are just too good not to bring back. 🤧

A few years ago, we held a flu meme contest and asked our Quinte Health team to bring their best creativity and questionable sense of humour to encouraging flu vaccination. There were some strong contenders.

But one has lived on in our hearts ever since: Protect the snot lickers in your life. And, well… the snot lickers are back.

School is in full swing. Daycare viruses are thriving. Runny noses have returned. And flu is making an early appearance this year.

So we're bringing back an old favourite. Over the next little while, we'll be talking about protecting the snot lickers, the parents they bring those germs home to, Dave from Accounting, Grandma and all the other innocent people in their orbit.

Because the flu shot helps reduce your chances of getting the flu and passing it along and can reduce your risk of becoming seriously ill if you do get sick.

Respiratory illness season is here. Are you ready? 💉

Flu, COVID-19 and RSV can cause serious illness, especially in older adults, young children and people with weakened immune systems.

Healthcare partners across Hastings and Prince Edward counties encourage residents to check their eligibility and make a plan to get vaccinated.

Vaccines are available through many local pharmacies, and home vaccination may be an option for eligible homebound residents through home services such as Quinte-Hastings Community Paramedics.
