Join us for a deeply nourishing Motherโ€™s Day Restorative Yoga & Sound, an invitation to rest, receive, and reconnect with the essence of mothering in all its forms.

This gathering isnโ€™t just for mothers, but for anyone who has experienced the energy of nurturing, whether you offer it to others, long for it, or are learning to give it to yourself. Together, weโ€™ll explore the many expressions of โ€œmotheringโ€: care, compassion, creation, patience, and unconditional presence.

Throughout our supportive restorative yoga practice, weโ€™ll invite the body into deep rest and a nervous system reset. As you settle into stillness, youโ€™ll be guided inward through breath and subtle awareness, followed by the soothing vibrations of crystal singing bowls and voice, creating space for restoration and renewal.

This is a space to be held just as you are.

Are you a yoga teacher?
Where do you go to practice??

Sometimes I run into my meditation and yoga students while practicing at other studios, and they're surprised to find me there.

"๐–๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐๐จ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ž ๐ฐ๐ก๐ž๐ง ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ญ๐ž๐š๐œ๐ก ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐จ๐ฐ๐ง ๐œ๐ฅ๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ?"

Here's what I'm doing:

1. ๐’๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฒ๐จ๐ ๐š ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฆ๐ž๐๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ฏ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž. It takes people registering and paying for classes to keep studios healthy, and I'm all for that.

2. ๐๐ซ๐š๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐œ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐ญ๐ž๐š๐œ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ ๐ˆ ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž. There are teachers that I genuinely LOVE to practice with, I'll happily pay to spend time in their presence.

3. ๐‚๐ก๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฅ๐Ÿ. Working with different teachers forces me to move my body in ways I don't naturally go to. When you plan your own flows, you tend to avoid the shapes that need the most attention in your body.

4. ๐’๐ž๐ž๐ค๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ.There is an opportunity to learn from and to be inspired by my yoga peers. Yoga teachers can support eachother in all kinds of ways.

So when you see me out there practicing, no I'm not there to spy- I'm there for all of the reasons above...

"You teach REAL yoga" was one of the best pieces of feedback I've received recently, and it's come up a few times.

But what does it mean?

It came from clients who thought that yoga had to be serious and controlled all of the time.

It came from folks who were afraid that their lack of yoga knowledge would make them stand out in the studio.

It came from people who were afraid that taking an extra child's pose would be frowned upon, or who were ashamed of their inflexibility and shaking muscles.

The truth?

โœจWe laugh in yoga, it's part of the magic.

โœจWe're all learning more about our practice and our bodies, every time we show up on the mat, myself included.

โœจListening to your body and taking those extra child's poses is a way of showing that you are tuning into yourself which is a BIG PART OF THE PRACTICE.

There's no pretending, just a good open hearted willingness to meet ourselves and eachother exactly where we're at- and we do it together.
