A Message from Mallory:
“Thank you to the clients, colleagues, supervisors, mentors, friends, and family who have been part of this journey. ❤️
Officially a Registered Psychologist.
And still committed to being human first.”
In Alberta, the profession of psychology is regulated by the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) and psychologists are a regulated professional who is accountable to provincial standards and continuing-competence requirements.
Registered Psychologists are required to complete graduate-level training in psychology, meet established academic requirements, supervised practice, competency examinations, and demonstrate expertise in psychological assessment and treatment.
Psychologists are trained to assess, diagnose, treat, guide, and support individuals experiencing mental, emotional, cognitive, behavioral, and interpersonal difficulties.
This means you can feel confident that your care is grounded in professional training and research, ethical standards, evidence-informed psychological practice, and ongoing learning.
Registered Psychologists are regulated health professionals in Alberta, and psychological services may be eligible for reimbursement through extended health benefits and, depending on your circumstances, may also qualify as a medical expense for tax purposes.
Coverage and eligibility vary by plan and individual situation, so it’s always worth checking your benefits and tax guidelines.
