What an incredible day! 🐾💕
Our first-ever Paw-Lates event was everything we hoped it would be and more. Seeing our community come together to move their bodies, connect, and spend time with some adorable Corgis made for such a special experience.
To everyone who attended, thank you for trusting us with your time and for making the event so much fun. Your energy, laughter, and willingness to try something new created an atmosphere we’ll never forget.
A huge thank you to our amazing team and partners, Pawsitivity Sarah who helped bring this event to life. It truly takes a community, and we’re so grateful to everyone who contributed their time, passion, and hard work behind the scenes.
Events like this remind us why we do what we do! Creating opportunities for connection, wellness, and joy, both inside and outside the therapy room.
We feel so lucky to be part of such a supportive community. Thank you for showing up for us, for yourselves, and for one another. We can’t wait to do it again!🌿

Your relationship is its own universe. Don’t worry about what other people are doing in their relationship and don’t get caught up in comparing. The culture of your relationship is literally one of a kind. You construct your relationship together so that it serves you both well. What works for others may not work well for the two of you. At the end of the day, what matters most is that you both feel joy and security in the home you have built together.”
— Yung Pueblo

In a world where we’re constantly exposed to engagement announcements, wedding photos, pregnancy reveals, anniversary posts, and curated snapshots of other people’s lives, it’s easy to start wondering if you’re “behind.”

Maybe your friends are getting married while you’re still dating. Maybe you’ve been together for years and aren’t interested in marriage. Maybe you’re navigating long distances, blending families, healing after conflict, or simply moving at a pace that feels right for the two of you.

Comparison has a way of making us question healthy relationships simply because they don’t look like someone else’s.

The truth is, there is no universal timeline for love. No checklist determines whether a relationship is successful. The healthiest relationships aren’t the ones that hit milestones the fastest, they’re the ones where both people feel respected, emotionally safe, supported, and free to grow together.

Every relationship develops its own rhythm, values, traditions, and goals. What brings connection, security, and joy to one couple may not fit another, and that’s okay.

Instead of asking, “Why aren’t we where they are?” try asking:
🤍 Does this relationship feel safe?
🤍 Do we communicate honestly?
🤍 Are we building a life that reflects our values?
🤍 Are we growing together, not just keeping up?

Your relationship doesn’t need to look like anyone else’s to be meaningful. The only people who get to define its success are the two people building it.

Psychodynamic therapy isn’t about living in the past, it’s about understanding how your past experiences continue to influence your present.

Many of our ways of thinking, feeling, and relating to others develop early in life. Sometimes these patterns serve us well, and sometimes they leave us feeling stuck. Psychodynamic therapy helps bring these patterns into awareness so you can understand yourself with greater compassion and make meaningful, lasting changes.

Healing often begins with curiosity. When we understand the “why” behind our reactions, we create space for new ways of coping, connecting, and growing.

Have you ever noticed yourself repeating the same patterns in relationships or responding to situations in ways you don’t fully understand? Sometimes exploring where those patterns began can be the first step toward change.

“All your feelings need to know they matter, all our feelings need to be heard, and all our feelings have a right to be acknowledged.” — Jessica Baum, Anxiously Attached

So often, we learn to judge, suppress, or dismiss our emotions. We tell ourselves we’re “overreacting,” “too sensitive,” or that we should just move on. But emotions aren’t problems to solve, they’re signals inviting us to pay attention.

This quote from Jessica Baum beautifully reminds us that every feeling has value. Whether it’s joy, sadness, anger, fear, guilt, or grief, our emotions carry information about our needs, experiences, and relationships. When we acknowledge them rather than push them away, we create space for understanding, healing, and growth.

In therapy, one of the most powerful experiences can be feeling truly heard. Together, we explore emotions with curiosity instead of judgment, helping clients build a deeper connection with themselves and learn that their feelings are worthy of attention and care.

What would change if you treated your feelings as messengers rather than obstacles?

Pride Month is a celebration of authenticity, resilience, and belonging, but it’s also an opportunity to raise awareness about the realities many LGBTQ+ individuals continue to face.

Many of the mental health struggles experienced by LGBTQ+ communities are linked to external factors such as discrimination, stigma, rejection, and lack of support. This is often referred to as minority stress.

When people feel accepted, affirmed, and safe to be themselves, mental health outcomes improve. Creating inclusive spaces, challenging stigma, and showing support can have a lasting impact.

Chasing resilience is a welcoming space for all individuals. We continue to promote and support these messages in our day to day and in our work because everyone should be seen as equal 🌈

Our “Meet the Human Behind the Therapist” series continues with Ashley ✨

While you’ve already gotten to know Ashley’s professional side, we thought it would be fun to share a few of the things that make her Ashley outside of the therapy room.

If Ashley isn’t at the office, there’s a good chance you’ll find her with an iced coffee in hand, cheering at a hockey rink, or planning her next adventure.

One of the things we love most about our team is the unique passions and interests each person brings beyond their role as a therapist. These are the experiences, hobbies, and moments that help shape who we are and keep us grounded outside of work.

Swipe through to get to know Ashley a little better! 🤍
