We opened WellnessRX Pharmacy in Bradford because we kept seeing the same thing — prescriptions filled in one place, supplements bought somewhere else, and nutrition figured out alone. Nothing was connected.

At WellnessRX Pharmacy in Bradford, we offer three services many people don’t know about:

1. Minor ailment assessment and prescribing
Ontario pharmacists can assess and prescribe treatment for eligible minor ailments — including UTIs, cold sores, pink eye, hay fever, insect bites, acne, and eczema. For many everyday concerns, you can skip the walk-in clinic and speak with our pharmacist directly.

2. Free medication reviews (MedsCheck)
If you take three or more prescription medications, you may qualify for a free, private medication review covered by OHIP. Our pharmacist reviews everything you’re taking, checks for interactions, and helps simplify your routine.

3. Walk-in vaccinations
Flu shots, COVID-19 vaccines, and select travel vaccines are available with walk-in availability. No appointment needed — just come in.

Eligibility for minor ailment prescribing and MedsCheck follows Ontario guidelines. Our pharmacist can confirm what applies to you.

Cold or flu? Here's how to actually tell the difference.

Both are respiratory viruses, but they usually behave differently:

🤧 A cold builds gradually — runny nose, sneezing, sore throat. Usually mild. Eases within about a week.

🤒 The flu hits suddenly — fever, body aches, exhaustion. Often knocks you flat for days. Can take 1–2 weeks to fully clear.

Here's the part that surprises people: neither one is treated with antibiotics. Both are viral.

Most cases can be managed at home with rest and fluids. But it's worth checking in with a health-care provider if you have shortness of breath, chest pain, a fever that won't ease, symptoms that get worse instead of better, or trouble staying hydrated.
