“What made you become a Gala Co-Chair?”

For Gurwinder, supporting Kay Blair Hospice is deeply personal.

After her sister was given just two weeks to live at under 40 years of age, Gurwinder and her family experienced firsthand the difference compassionate hospice care can make.

The hospice team provided pain management, support, care, love, and culturally sensitive care not only for her sister, but for their entire family during an incredibly difficult time.

That experience is what inspired Gurwinder to help bring the same kind of support to families here in Brampton.

Brampton is one of the fastest-growing cities in Canada, yet our community still does not have a dedicated hospice residence. Kay Blair Hospice is working to change that by building Brampton’s first 12-bed hospice residence.

The Legacy of Love Gala is part of that vision. On October 24, 2026, our community will come together to help create a future where individuals and families in Brampton can access compassionate, culturally sensitive end-of-life care close to home.

🍂 A morning of connection, learning, and community!

Thank you to for inviting us to the Community Leadership Luncheon: Harvest Edition on October 7th.

From connecting with fellow community leaders to hearing valuable insights from Marci Gray of Gray Matter Health on stress management, healthy boundaries, and prioritizing well-being, it was a wonderful opportunity to learn and share.
