The Doctors' Breastfeeding Clinic We are a full service clinic focused on mothers, babies and any issues they have with breastfeeding. Mothers and babies are seen in a private setting.

Our clinic is staffed by doctors and a lactation consultant to help improve your breastfeeding experience. Our goal is to help you solve any of your breastfeeding problems. Our clinic services are covered by OHIP. A referral is not required but is recommended. Patients can usually be seen within 24-48 hours. tiples, breastfeeding the premature infant, breastfeeding after C-Section, breastfeeding after breast reduction, breastfeeding after returning to work, breastfeeding and surgery, breastfeeding and the hospitalized child, dealing with chronic yeast and ni**le pain, tandem nursing, milk supply issues and breast refusal.

This week, EABM wants to discuss the role of Medical Doctors in *Strengthening What Works* in Breastfeeding: Day 1 - Skin to Skin contact🤱

will focus on the breastfeeding impact on nutrition, food security and poverty reduction, following the WBW-SDG on the Thematic Area 1.

The campaign will highlight what works and what needs further improvement. 🔨

Nutrition: Breastfed infants are provided with optimal nutrition and protection against infections. 🦠

Food security: Breastmilk is a safe and secure source of food even in times of humanitarian crises. 🫂

Poverty reduction: Breastfeeding is a low cost way of feeding babies without burdening household budgets. 🤰

Your Breasts Are Able to Detect Even a One Degree Drop in Your Baby's Temperature and Warm Up.

You are the best incubator/warmer there is. Period.

Wrapping that baby up like a little burrito is only necessary if he/she will be away from you. But the best way to keep her warm in the early hours, days, and weeks is to cuddle with them skin-to-skin with a blanket over the two of you.

Your skin contact means that baby will have to expend fewer calories regulating her own temperature.

AND...Dads can do it as well! ❤️
