Ever wondered why your fingers "crack" or "pop"?

That sound usually happens when tiny gas bubbles in the joint fluid rapidly collapse or shift when the joint is stretched. This is called "cavitation", and in most cases, it is harmless.

✅️ Usually normal if there is no pain, swelling, or stiffness.
⚠️ Get it checked if cracking comes with pain, locking, weakness, swelling, or reduced movement.

Fingers cracking does not usually cause arthritis, but painful or frequent clicking may be related to tendon irritation, joint stiffness, or inflammation.
