The kids found a tent at a thrift store this past week. They put their money together and bought it. They’ve spent much of their time in there since the purchase, even attempting a sleep in it one night. They’ve even been (mostly) getting along in there reading books and chatting. Who woulda thought???

Holidays week yes, But..... I still get to go and check on Bryaxis (my playroom fish) and water the plants too. I really really LOVE my new space. (Pictures of this amazing place to come soon!!!)

Adventures with my kids. Making memories of Summer 2026.
We took a drive with no real destination in mind. Ended up at Clear Lake and found a nice quiet spot to stop. The kids swam and played in the water for about an hour 1/2. Simple and fun, an afternoon well spent.
And their arguing didn’t actually drive me bonkers 😆

Why PlayTherapy indeed!?

We often get asked: Why play therapy? 🧸

For kids, play isn’t just a break from learning—it is their learning. It’s how they speak.

Expecting a child to sit on a couch and talk through big, heavy feelings is like asking an adult to express their stress in a language they’ve never heard before. It just doesn't work.

In the playroom, the pressure is off. Toys become their words, and play becomes their therapy. It gives them the space to process, heal, and grow in the language they speak best. 🎨✨
