We are excited to introduce our Massage Therapist, Danielle Woychyshyn. Danielle has been a massage therapist since January 2024, and apart from a break for maternity leave, has been at Dynamic since then.
Danielle, what made you pursue a RMT career?
Right out of high school I went to BU, planning to complete my science degree. I figured out that this was not for me and instead complete my personal training diploma through NAIT. Despite this, I was still not feeling complete and decided to continue my education within the science realm. I quickly knew that massage was the right fit for me.
What do you love about being at Dynamic?
Dynamic is a place that is so warm and welcoming. Walking into work, everyone always has a smile on their face and greets you as soon as you walk through the door. It has always been a place that I have wanted to work since going for physio here as a little kid. (aww, we do remember this and are so glad you are now part of our team!)
Fun fact about you?
I love being outdoors. Whether that's boating, skidooing, walking, hunting, etc. and if my son is awake we are outside every chance we can get
Have you taken any recent courses?
Recently I have completed my instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) course. This is used to treat fascial restrictions and soft tissue dysfunctions with a metal tool. It looks and sounds scary but it is not and has lots of the same benefits as massaging with your hands, such as breaking down scar tissue, improving circulation, improving ROM, and so much more.
Danielle, we love having you at Dynamic and know that your massage clients are grateful for your expertise. Your background in science and personal training are complimentary to your RMT practice, and these coupled with your desire to continue learning make you very effective as a massage therapist.
