Negative sentiment override is when the story you tell about your partner turns sour, and then everything they do gets filed under that story. They forgot the milk? Proof they don't care. They were quiet at dinner? Must be angry at you. The behavior might be completely neutral, but you've stopped extending any goodwill. This is usually a sign the relationship needs reconnection, not more evidence-gathering. The fix isn't catching them being bad. It's rebuilding enough warmth that you stop assuming the worst.

Pretty sound advice from LoveSecurely

A complaint is about a specific behavior. A criticism is about your partner's character. "I felt alone when you were on your phone all dinner" is a complaint. "You're so selfish, you never pay attention to me" is a criticism. The first invites a conversation. The second puts them on trial. Same frustration, completely different outcome. The way you open a hard conversation usually decides how it ends.

An Update for My Practice

I am writing to share a small update regarding my practice. As many of you know, I am committed to providing the best possible care for my clients. To ensure I can continue to offer high-quality, focused, and sustainable service, I will be adjusting my hourly rate to $135.00, effective August 1, 2026.

This change helps me maintain the standard of practice you expect and ensures that I can continue to support my clients effectively for the long term.
I am currently booking new clients starting July 27th, and look forward to continuing our work together.

Thank you all for being such a wonderful part of this community. I truly appreciate your support as I evolve my practice to better serve you
