Mitchell is a Registered Physiotherapist with a special interest in musculoskeletal, neurological, and sports rehabilitation. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph and completed his Master of Physiotherapy at Western University. Postgraduate training includes an introductory Bobath course to further enhance his approach to neurological rehabilitation and functional movement. He has also completed Concussion Management Level 1 training.
During his undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph, Mitchell worked as an athletic trainer with the university’s women’s lacrosse and field hockey teams. This experience gave him the opportunity to work closely with athletes, develop a strong understanding of sport-related injuries and rehabilitation, and see firsthand the importance of helping individuals safely return to the activities they enjoy.
Mitchell takes a functional movement approach to rehabilitation, focusing on helping people understand their bodies and develop the strength, mobility, coordination, and confidence needed to return to the activities that are important to them.
He is excited to bring his experience, enthusiasm, and people-first approach to the team at Activate Physiotherapy Health and Wellness and looks forward to helping clients move with greater confidence and return to the activities that matter most to them.
